At current stage Fraunhofer HHI possesses extensive experience in system design and system evaluation for LTE and beyond. Fraunhofer HHI is a driving partner within the EASY-C consortium. Based on this expertise and ongoing discussions in 3GPP specific aspects for MU-MIMO, transparent transmission techniques incorporating distributed antenna system (DAS) setups are promising in order to provide a more homogeneous system performance over the a certain area in the deployment. The may focus on the application of DAS as a promising candidate to realize a potential breakthrough regarding achievable gains such as throughput, reduced power and reduced network delays.
