Fraunhofer HHI's Time Management System for Public Authorities (TMS-PA) enables an effective management of the available time of public administrations' employees and customers. Civil servants, call-center agents and citizens / civil service customers can book, move and cancel dates by themselves.

TMS-PA consists of the following modules and service packages:

• Management of appointments by public administrations' employees and customers (eAppointment)
• Queue management by public administrations' employees and retrieval of that information by their customers (Queue Management System)
• Browser-based call system ("taking" of numbers and announcements by means of stationary or mobile computers)
• Calculating statistics for public authorities (number of customers, fulfilled requests, etc.)

The system is used by means of a Web browser. No additional software needs to be installed. Some functions can also be executed by means of SMS (among other things, cancelling of appointments). In addition, the system provides several possibilities of being notified and reminded by SMS.

The system is autonomous in terms of server, transmission and terminals and, hence, can be operated technically separate from other electronic civil services (e.g. administrative applications).

It is based on an SQL data base system, that can be accessed over the Internet by appointment administrators, public authorities' employees and citizens who want to make an appointment.
