Interactive Media - Human Factors EURO@Berlin

Project description
Though usability and usefulness are acknowledged as factors that affect the uptake of new telecom products and services, fully allowing for both factors is still rare. One of the main reasons for this is a lack of awareness of the potential of usability engineering to adapt electronic media to user needs and capacities. The project serves to demonstrate the use of usability engineering e.g. for the development of an online service on the new European currency.

Achievements

  • Implementation and introduction of a public online service on the problems and questions that accompany the introduction of the new European currency, the EURO
  • Proof of success of the service indicated by high hitrates
