Fraunhofer HHI technology enables broadcasting of the first live concert in 4K on television

On December 20, 2014, Sky and Astra Deutschland broadcast for the first time a live concert of the German Hip Hop band "Die Fantastischen Vier" in ultra high definition (UHD or 4K). The Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute supports the first transmission in Ultra HD on German television with its HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) Live Encoder.
