Media Coding Industry Forum

The Media Coding Industry Forum (MC-IF; see website) is an open industry forum with the purpose of furthering the adoption of MPEG Standards, initially focusing on VVC, by establishing them as well-accepted and widely used standards for the benefit of consumers and industry.

Work Groups:

The following four MC-IF Work Groups have been established:

  • IP Ecosystem
  • Profiling
  • Marketing and Outreach
  • Interop

Fraunhofer HHI actively participates in the Marketing and Outreach Work Group by showcasing VVC technologies, and in the Interop Work Group by sharing results from VVC software solution development.
