Automatic Soccer Video Analysis
Fraunhofer HHI develops methods to automatically analyze soccer videos. These technologies enable faster and more precise retrieval of soccer content as well as more interactive experience when watching soccer matches.
Spatial and Temporal Image Database Navigation
Large image and video databases require methods to efficiently and purposefully select and display visual content. We have developed Viewer with which the user can navigate both spatially and temporally in the image space.
Image Retrieval
For fast retrieval of visually similar images in large image collections, we developed an application framework. For this, an analysis module as well as a search engine are available as dynamically linked libraries, which can be integrated into one’s own applications.
Video Structure Detection
We have developed a software module for video structure detection, which automatically segments the video into scenes, shots and sub-shots much faster than real-time. This shot detection not only analysis hard cuts. It also detects fades, dissolves and wipes.
Semantic Metadata Generation and Concept Detection
We have developed technologies to automatically analyze visual content in images and videos, and assign to them, keywords which are representative of semantic concepts such as „beach“, “flower” or “landscape”, for efficient archiving and search in large multimedia collections.
