Multimodal interaction and adaptive visualization for the intensive care unit
The Fraunhofer HHI presents the control room subproject Proxemic Monitor. To increase hygiene and usability in the intensive care unit a touchless, multimodal human-computer interaction and user adaptive data visualization system was developed for the control room and bedside monitors. The solution approach of the subproject includes the detection of the user, his position as well as the interpretation of his hand & head movements. An intelligent interaction middleware and additionally integrated input devices allow situation specific interactions via –body, hand and head gestures as well as touch, voice, mouse and keyboard inputs.
