Hannover, Germany

Fraunhofer Heinrich-Hertz-Institut (HHI) is a world leader in the development for mobile and optical communication networks and systems as well as processing and coding of video signals.

Together with international partners from research and industry, Fraunhofer HHI works in the whole spectrum of digital infrastructure – from fundamental research to the development of prototypes and solutions.

At Hannover Messe 2024, Fraunhofer HHI presents the latest developments in Wireless Communications and Networks as well as Photonic Networks and Systems from April 22 to 26, 2024, in Hannover, Germany. Visit our Fraunhofer booths in halls 2, 14 and 15.

DLFi for Healthcare

Protecting Patient Privacy in Healthcare with Secure Federated Learning

Hall 2, booth B16, Innovationsmarkt Berlin-Brandenburg Pavilion & Hall 15, booth H13, 5G and Industrial Wireless Arena

We present the use of Secure Federated Learning for collaborative training of ML models for healthcare applications. Our live demonstration will show the training an Alzheimer’s Disease Detection model using Fraunhofer HHI’s Distributed Learning Framework (DLFi). Unlike traditional ML approaches that centralize data, potentially compromising patient privacy, DLFi establishes a remote training environment where data doesn't need to be transferred, ensuring confidentiality while enabling ML model.
