Enabling Actives-Passives Integration

The SiN line of Fraunhofer HHI is specifically suitable for actives-passives integration. Available photonic building blocks include ring resonators, multimode interferometers (MMIs), arrayed waveguide gratings (AWGs), variable optical attenuators (VOAs), tunable gratings, and phase shifters. These components are specifically designed to meet the requirements of modern applications in telecommunications and data communications, optical sensing, quantum technologies, as well as medical and life sciences. The SiN line is open to industry and academia to implement custom designs on dedicated wafers.
