On the occasion of the second funding phase, the Berlin Big Data Center (BBDC) invites to its kick-off on January 18, 2019. The upcoming three-year phase will continue with the research, development and teaching of next-generation big data technologies.

The BBDC is a competence center funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). It connects scientists with application experts and their interdisciplinary expertise in Big Data, Machine Learning, data management and data stream processing. Thus, synergy effects are created. The aim of the consortium is to develop highly innovative technologies, which are able to organize and derive huge amounts of data and from these develop informed decisions.
