MEDICA 2025
NOV 2025
17 - 20
Düsseldorf, Germany
The Fraunhofer Heinrich-Hertz-Institut (HHI) is a world leader in the development for mobile and optical communication networks and systems as well as processing and coding of video signals. Together with international partners from research and industry, Fraunhofer HHI works in the whole spectrum of digital infrastructure – from fundamental research to the development of prototypes and solutions.
At MEDICA 2025, Fraunhofer HHI, together with project partners and PolyPhotonics Berlin e.V., will present current advancements from the BMBF-funded PolyChrome Berlin project in hall 3 at booth G54 on November 17-20 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
SiN Sensors – Mikroring sensors
Latest developments of disposables for point of care testing based on photonic silicon nitride microring resonators will be presented. The compact optical multisensors are designed for fast, cost-effective and specific measurements of chemical and biological substances.
Functionalization of the sensors using nucleic acid-based capture molecules (aptamers) enables specific analysis in the fields of diagnostics, life sciences, environmental and food analysis.
PolyPhotonics Berlin e.V.
PolyPhotonics Berlin e.V. is an association for the promotion of science and research in the field of hybrid photonic integration platforms. The association organizes joint research projects, public events, and trade fairs.
PolyPhotonics Berlin e.V. offers profound expertise in the field of new materials, micro-optical elements, photonic integration and automated assembly technologies for optical components for applications in telecommunications/datacom, analytics, sensor technology and quantum communication.
