On September 19, 2019, the Forum Digital Technologies, the new knowledge and networking platform for digital technologies, will open its doors at the Fraunhofer HHI. Dr. Ulrich Nussbaum, State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, will open the forum and the event and award prizes to the winners of the AI Innovation Competition "Künstliche Intelligenz als Treiber für volkswirtschaftlich relevante Ökosysteme".

From September 2015 to August 2019, the Smart Data Forum acted as a knowledge platform and exhibition space for Smart Data technologies and innovations, as a meeting place for players from business, science and politics. With the Forum Digital Technologies, the follow-up project is now being launched.
