Prof. Dr.-Ing. Slawomir Stanczak, Head of Wireless Communications and Networks Department at Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute, was invited to the „NSF Workshop on Low-Latency Wireless Random-Access“ at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston, where he will give a lecture on robust wireless communication with low latency.
Leading scientists of information-, coding and communication theory from all over the world will discuss possible solutions for fundamental challenges in design and operation of wireless communication networks. Central issues of the workshop are predominantly associated with technological trends such as the machine-like communication and the Internet of Things. These trends require the design of new communication solutions that are able to support a massive number of infrequent communicating devices robustly and with significant low latency.
The workshop takes place from 2nd of November to 3rd of November 2017.
