Developed by the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute, the TiME Lab – Tomorrow's immersive Media Experience Lab – is unrivalled anywhere in the world. Its three dimensional 180 degree panoramic projection is built on an array of 14 HD projectors and offers a resolution of 7k which takes in the viewer's whole field of vision. Its outstanding audio system coupled with 3D panoramic projection creates the perfect immersive audio visual experience. Also developed by the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute, the OmniCam was the other award winner. This camera system is the very first to record panoramic video in stereo quality. To capture ultra high definition 360° panoramic video in real-time, Fraunhofer HHI has also developed the companion OmniCam360 – a compact system rigged with 10 HD cameras.
