Fiber Optical Sensor Systems will become part of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft

The Fiber Optical Sensor Systems project group at the Clausthal University of Technology will become an integral part of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft.

The "Bund-Länder Committee" has resolved that starting on 1 April 2014, the Fiber Optical Sensor Systems project group at Clausthal University of Technology, the Goslar branch of the Heinrich Hertz Institute, will become an integral part of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. Founded in 2009, this branch of the Heinrich Hertz Institute is directed by Professor Dr. Wolfgang Schade, a professor at the Clausthal University of Technology. The team, which now consists of some 40 people, researches the development and fabrication of novel sensor systems which are used in a broad array of measurement and control systems.
