On September 27, 2016, the Brandenburg Minister of Science Martina Münch presented certificates of appointment to seven professors. Among them was Benno Stabernack, who heads the research group "Embedded Systems" at the Fraunhofer HHI. From October on, Stabernack will embellish the newly established chair for embedded systems architectures for signal processing at the Institute for Computer Science at the University of Potsdam.
Benno Stabernack received his Dr.-Ing. degree in 2004 in electrical engineering from the TU Berlin. Since graduating from the same University in 1996, he works at the Fraunhofer HHI. As head of a research group in the department for Video Coding & Analytics he is responsible for research projects that deal with hardware and software architectures for image and video signal processing. Since the summer of 2005, and 2008 respectively, Stabernack also lectured at the TU Berlin and the University of Potsdam.
