At the festival 'BERLIN leuchtet', light artists draw attention to the buildings of the city with light and projections for two weeks. The light festival illuminates outstanding buildings of the city, and furthermore plans various tours to bring visitors to the lighted buildings. The dome on the roof of Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute will also be illuminated from September 29 to October 15.
The light festival takes place at big parts of the city, most of all in the areas of Mitte-Tiergarten, Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf and Steglitz-Zehlendorf. Official patron of 'BERLIN leuchtet' is the Governing Mayor of Berlin Michael Müller.
