Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Martin Schell, executive director of the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute, was appointed as cluster spokesperson in the framework of the conference of the Photonics Cluster. He succeeds Prof. Dr. Günther Tränkle in this office.
The Cluster Conference took place in Potsdam, which was organized by the Berlin Partner of Business and Technology GmbH, the OpTecBB e.V and by Brandenburg Invest (WFBB) in the name of the Photonics Cluster of the federal states of Berlin and Brandenburg.
The cross-national Photonics Cluster in Berlin/Brandenburg merges the fields of optical technologies and microsystem technologies that are key enabling technologies of the 21st century. The Cluster combines university and research institutions, innovative technology companies and medium-sized enterprises into a network that fosters cooperations among enterprises and research facilities and leads to an improvement of innovative capability of the cluster partners.
