Wireless Communications and Networks

The Wireless Communications and Networks (WN) department has carried out cutting edge research on wireless networks for more than 20 years. Developed solutions within the broad area of wireless communication systems and networks range from information and communication theory via channel measurements, algorithm and protocol design, system- and network simulation right through to the implementation of algorithms in demonstrators and tests in the field.

We provide solutions in the fields of Smart Antenna Systems (MIMO), LTE-Advanced and 5G, Cognitive Radio, Multi-Cell Link & System Evaluations, Millimeter Wave Communications, Wireless Sensor and Meshed Networks, Cooperative Communications, Wireless Network Control and Optimization, Car to X Communication, Self-Organizing Networks, Big Data and Machine Learning for Wireless Networks.
