After the first FMD Innovation Days were held in Berlin last year with great success and lively participation from science, industry and politics, the Forschungsfabrik Mikroelektronik Deutschland (FMD) is now initiating the second edition of its FMD Innovation Days. The event takes place  from September 12 to 13, 2019, at the IHP GmbH - Innovations for High Performance Microelectronics/Leibniz-Institut für innovative Mikroelektronik (IHP) in Frankfurt (Oder).

With the motto „From IDays to IDeas“, experts, users and colleagues will meet for two days of intensive exchange on the focus topic „Microwave & Terahertz“.

This year's program again promises exciting impulse lectures, panel discussions and an accompanying exhibition with the latest technological contributions from the FMD member institutes. In the lecture sessions, the focus is on the topics 5G, wireless and radar based solutions for industry 4.0 as well as on sensor technology for autonomous driving. In subsequent round-table discussions in small groups, the participants get the chance to get deeper into the subject matter and discuss future topics.
