11.5 Gbit/s Transmission Using a 660 mW LiFi Transmitter

Malte Hinrichs, Volker Jungnickel, Ronald Freund, Christoph Kottke, Malte Hinrichs, Giulio Boniello, Atiyeh Pouralizadeh

For the first time, we demonstrate LiFi transmission with a net data rate of 11.5 Gbit/s using a transmitter with an optical power of 660 mW. Our results pave the way towards next-generation LiFi systems based on high-power VCSEL-arrays.

Beam-Steered Channel Measurement at 160 GHz in an Industrial Environment

Alper Schultze, Wilhelm Keusgen, Michael Peter, Ramez Askar, Taro Eichler, Mathis Schmieder

Beam-steered channel measurements were analyzed and evaluated on the basis of identified beam pair realizations regarding MIMO capabilities, macro-diversity gains and blockage effects for a multi-transmitter industrial sub-terahertz communication...

Short Range Optical Wireless Communication at 67.8 Gbit/s using a Multiaperture VCSEL

Matthias Koepp, Volker Jungnickel, Ronald Freund, Christoph Kottke, Nikolai N. Ledentsov, Oleg Yu Makarov

We demonstrate a point-to-point optical wireless communication link for fixed wireless access scenarios using a multiaperture VCSEL. At 5 meters distance, a record net data rate of 67.8 Gbit/s is reached after LDPC FEC.

Catalytically active plate heat exchanger for flexible hydrogen release from perhydro benzyltoluene

Phillip Nathrath, Eike Hübner, Peter Wasserscheid, P. Schüle

A catalytic plate reactor derived from the design of conventional plate heat exchangers was used for the continuous and dynamic dehydrogenation of perhydro benzyltoluene, a LOHC. The surface of heat exchanger plates has been catalytically...

Software for dataset-wide XAI: From local explanations to global insights with Zennit, CoRelAy, and ViRelAy

Christopher J. Anders, Klaus-Robert Müller, Wojciech Samek, Sebastian Lapuschkin, David Neumann

The predictive capabilities of Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) are well-established, yet the underlying mechanisms driving these predictions often remain opaque. The advent of Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) has introduced novel...

Leveraging Shared Data and Models for ML-Based QoT Estimation: Toward Standardized and Generalizable Models

Hassan Akbari, Ronald Freund, Johannes Fischer, Mohammad Behnam Shariati, Pooyan Safari, Angela Mitrovska, Stephan Pachnicke, Xiao Ma, Jasper Müller

This work presents the first study of a machine learning-based quality-of-transmission (QoT) estimator using synthetic and experimental datasets from four different organizations, including live network data. It investigates the feasibility of a...

Adaptive Change-Point Detection in S-RISnet-Assisted Wireless Networks

Sida Dai, Slawomir Stanczak, Eduard Jorswieck, Setareh Maghsudi, Ehsan Tohidi, Bile Peng

This paper proposes Adaptive S-RISNet, a scalable RIS configuration framework that leverages statistical CSI and change-point detection to update phase shifts only when necessary. The method achieves near-optimal performance while drastically...
