BIM-Pass

Software for real-time 3D-documentation and communication ahead and during a distributed team meeting in VR/AR

Duration: January 2023 – June 2025

ZIM – Central Innovation Programme for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)

The ZIM project BIM-Pass aims to develop an easy-to-use data acquisition, data processing and collaboration system for relevant user roles in the construction sector. Different users will be able to collaboratively create, view and edit project data almost in real time. The focus of the project is on user-friendly, rapid data acquisition, visualisation and modification of data relevant to the construction process on site. To this end, a shared virtual three-dimensional workspace is being created for all users. An existing 3D collaboration platform of the project partner LandPlan OS and existing 3D acquisition and evaluation technologies of the partner Fraunhofer HHI serve as the basis. Based on a scalable openBIM server platform currently under development outside of this project, the data will be able to be processed and synchronised both in real time and offline.
