Governing Mayor of Berlin, Michael Müller, holds Annual Kick-off Press Conference 2019 at Fraunhofer HHI

This year's annual kick-off press conference of the governing mayor of Berlin, Michael Müller, took place at the Fraunhofer HHI CINIQ Center today. The governing mayor traditionally gives an outlook on upcoming topics and tasks of the new year on this occasion.

Michael Müller welcomed the press with the following words: "Berlin is an outstanding science location with an international reputation. In order to strengthen top-level research, we will continue to invest in the most modern scientific infrastructure this year". To emphasize this, Fraunhofer HHI was chosen for the first press conference of the year. Müller also announced that 2019 would be an important year for the "booming metropolis" of Berlin, in which much of what had already been set in motion in 2017 and 2018 would be implemented. This also includes the expansion of the scientific infrastructure.
