Fraunhofer HHI is one of the research institutes cooperating in the Research Factory Microelectronics Germany (FMD). Across locations and technologies, the FMD jointly addresses current and future challenges in electronics research and provides important development impetus for the technologies of tomorrow. More than 5,400 employees contribute their expertise in the research and development of micro- and nanosystems across institutes.
As a one-stop shop, the FMD combines the scientifically excellent technologies and system solutions of its cooperating institutes into a customized overall offering. Under the virtual umbrella of the FMD, one of the largest alliances of its kind was created in 2017, offering a unique diversity of expertise and infrastructure.
