The European project NOSTRADAMUS supports the development of a secure and resilient communication infrastructure for the quantum age. As part of the broader European Quantum Communication Infrastructure (EuroQCI), the project focuses on testing, validating and advancing quantum key distribution (QKD) technologies for real-world deployment.
Fraunhofer Heinrich-Hertz-Institut (HHI) contributes its expertise in optical communication systems, photonic integration and network architectures to enable the seamless integration of quantum communication into existing fiber infrastructures.
Project Overview
Building trust in quantum communication technologies
NOSTRADAMUS establishes a European-wide framework for the evaluation and validation of QKD systems. The project aims to ensure interoperability, performance and security across different vendors and technologies, paving the way for scalable quantum communication networks.
