IKRD
Teaching Intercultural Competencies in Emergency Medical Services
Client: Akkon University of Human Sciences
Duration: November 2024 – March 2027
The project develops a VR-supported training module aimed at raising awareness of stressors, implicit biases, and intercultural competencies in the workplace. Its core components include an interactive, LLM-based VR application with adaptive scenarios as well as an immersive VR film, both of which simulate realistic situations and encourage reflection on decision-making behavior. Through integrated analysis functions, sensor-based data collection, and structured debriefings, the perception of bias, team dynamics, and communication challenges is specifically trained and transferred into practical application.
