BIOQIC

BIOphysical Quantitative Imaging Towards Clinical Diagnosis

December 2019 – present

This project was funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG)

Within the BIOQIC research program we explore advanced deep learning methods in connection with explaination techniques to improve calcium segmentation and scoring from 3D cardiac and lung CT images. Beyond novel scientific developments there is a strong emphasis on the validation of the clinical usage of the coronary calcium scoring models. The model development as well as design of relevant evaluation criteria will be based on the DISCHARGE trial data in the core lab of the study at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
